The communities of Terre Haute, Indiana, and Paris, Illinois, are mourning the death of Ciarra Fabian, 24, who died following a single-motorcycle crash on August 7.

According to information from the Vigo County Coroner’s Office, Fabian was critically injured in a motorcycle crash on U.S. 63, south of the river bridge.

Terre Haute police officers responded to the scene at approximately 9:50 p.m. on August 7 following reports of the collision.

Ciarra was transported to Union Hospital for emergency medical treatment. Despite efforts to save her, she died shortly after midnight on August 8.

The coroner’s office identified the injury location as Highway 63 and U.S. 41.

Cause of Death

An autopsy was conducted on August 8 by forensic pathologist Dr. Dele Abedego.

The preliminary cause of death was determined to be blunt force trauma, while the manner of death was ruled an accident.
