The Delaware Township, New Jersey, community is mourning the heartbreaking death of 6-year-old Brandi Karcher, who died after suffering injuries in a two-vehicle crash on Route 173 in Bethlehem Township.

Brandi’s passing has brought profound grief to her parents, Brenda and Corey Karcher, her family, friends, and members of the community who knew and loved the young girl.

What Happened to Brandi Karcher?

The fatal collision occurred at approximately 4:34 p.m. on Monday, August 10, 2026, on Route 173 in Bethlehem Township.

According to information released by New Jersey State Police, a Kia traveling west on Route 173 collided with a Jeep SUV that was making a right-hand turn.

Ten people were injured in the crash, including Brandi. Nine other people were hospitalized with injuries described as minor.

Brandi was seriously injured in the collision and later died from her injuries on Wednesday, August 12, according to authorities.

The circumstances surrounding the crash remain under investigation.

Her family was especially important to her. Brandi adored her sister and young cousins and was described as naturally caring and nurturing.

At only six years old, she had already created countless memories that her family will carry with them for years to come.

Following the accident and Brandi’s death, a fundraiser was established to help Brenda and Corey Karcher with unexpected medical and funeral expenses.

The fundraising effort also reflected the support of people who wanted to stand beside the family during an extraordinarily painful time.

Brandi Karcher Funeral Arrangements

Funeral arrangements have been announced for Brandi.

She will lie in repose on Thursday, August 20, from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the Chapel of Wright & Ford Family Funeral Home in Flemington.

A celebration of Brandi’s life is scheduled for 11:30 a.m. Friday, August 21, at the same funeral home.

Following the service, she will be laid to rest at Prospect Hill Cemetery in Flemington.
